One Duke Restaurant is located in a historic neighborhood, that began in 1791, called Durand in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. After the American Revolution, that ended in 1783, United Empire Loyalists and First Nations allies migrated north of the Great Lakes and rivers to settle in what was then called Upper Canada.
After the War of 1812, in and around 1840, the population in the Durand neighborhood increased dramatically. As you walk toward St. Joseph's Hospital you can see the beautiful 19th century homes and other structures nestled in the base of the the Niagara Escarpment which is an internationally significant ecosystem designated in 1990 by the United Nations as a biosphere reserve.
One Duke Restaurant, as a part of this historic neighborhood, is also pleased to be a contributor to the dynamic progressive growth and vision of the city of Hamilton.
One Duke opened a secone location steps away from the Hamilton General Hospital, on Barton St. East at Victoria called Duke's Pub Pasta & Pizzeria.
